Day 01: Marrakech – Atlas Mountains – Ait ben haddou – Ouarzazate – Rose valley – Dades
Today, we will pick you up in the morning to start our Desert Tour from Marrakech, traveling via the Tizi n'Tichka Pass, the highest road in Morocco. We will stop to enjoy the panoramic views of the High Atlas Mountains and the magnificent landscapes, enriched by small Berber villages that exemplify the region. Afterward, we will visit the UNESCO World Heritage site, Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou. This Kasbah is one of the best-preserved strongholds in Morocco, built on a hilltop. Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou has inspired numerous filmmakers, with movies like Gladiator and Game of Thrones filmed here. The view from the upper levels of the Kasbah is breathtaking, and it’s worth exploring the winding streets to take it all in.
We’ll then continue along the Road of One Thousand Kasbahs, heading toward the Skoura Oasis. From there, we’ll visit Rose Valley, known as the center of Moroccan roses. Here, acres of Persian roses are cultivated to produce rose water and creams, which are exported around the world. Our final stop for the day will be in Dades. We will explore the stunning landscapes of the Dades Valley before heading to our hotel for a restful evening.
Today, we meet you in the morning at your hotel in Dades, and after breakfast, we set off towards the stunning Todra Gorge. This breathtaking natural wonder, surrounding the village of Tinghir, features towering limestone cliffs that change colors as the sun rises, creating a mesmerizing landscape. The 300-meter-high rock walls stand only 15 meters apart, and you might even spot Nomads along the way.
As we continue our journey, we’ll pass deserted Kasbahs, traditional nomadic villages, and lush oases, before the scenery transforms, revealing the first glimpse of sand dunes. The immense Merzouga Desert and Erg Chebbi dunes unfold before you, an endless sea of apricot-colored sand stretching as far as the eye can see.
Next, we will embark on a camel caravan into the vast Sahara, guided by a local Berber expert. The camel, a lifeline to desert nomads, has long been used to transport goods across the Sahara from Sub-Saharan Africa to Mediterranean trade ports. Feel the tranquility as you ride or walk alongside the caravan, marveling at the silence and serenity of the desert while enjoying the sunset over the goldne dunes.
As the sun sets, we arrive at our private luxury desert camp nestled between the towering dunes. You’ll be welcomed with mint tea, dates, and nuts before a delicious dinner prepared by local chefs. Relax around the campfire while enjoying traditional music, all under a blanket of stars. Afterward, retreat to your luxury private tent, feeling like you’ve stepped into a story from Arabian Nights.

Then, we will leave Merzouga Desert and begin our journey back to Marrakech, passing through Nomadic Berber villages. We’ll also pass through the towns of Anif, Tazarine, and N’kob. Continuing on, we’ll visit Draa Valley, known for its thousand palm trees surrounding the valley. Finally, we’ll head into the Atlas Mountains via Ouarzazate to reach Marrakech. Please Note that This Private 3-Day Desert Tour Can Start or End in Fez!
Please note that Day 3 includes a long 9-hour drive from Merzouga to Marrakech, which can be quite tiring. If you prefer a shorter, more comfortable drive, we can adjust the itinerary to a4-Day Desert Tour via Draa Valley. On Day 3, you’ll spend the night in Ouarzazate, allowing you to enjoy a relaxed breakfast and sunrise in the Sahara desert at your own pace. Why Choose Private Tour over Shared Tour?
Our Private Tours offer an exclusive and personalized experience, allowing you to travel at your own pace and explore destinations in comfort, enjoy a customized itinerary tailored to your interests, stop anytime, anywhere to discover hidden gems, stay in luxury and clean accommodations for an authentic and comfortable experience and benefit from enhanced safety and privacy with private transport and experienced guides. Shared group tours may seem affordable, but they often sacrifice comfort, flexibility, and quality. You're stuck with a fixed schedule, crowded transport, rushed visits, generic meals, and lack of privacy can make the experience feel more stressful than enjoyable. For a truly personalized and memorable trip, private travel is the better choice.
Why Choose Us for Your Morocco Tour?
When you travel with us, you enjoy clear pricing with no hidden fees, what you see is exactly what you get. Our professional, highly qualified drivers and guides bring Morocco to life with deep knowledge of its culture, history, and landscapes. We maintain a strong safety record and handpick every hotel and activity to ensure a seamless and high-quality experience. While lower-cost tours may seem tempting, they often compromise your safety, comfort, and travel insurance by using unregistered vehicles and overworked drivers. With us, you travel confidently, knowing you're in expert hands every step of the way!
