3-Day Marrakech to Merzouga Private Desert Tour
Day 01: Marrakech – Atlas Mountains – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Skoura – Rose Valley – Dades / 6 hour drive
Depart Marrakech at 9:00 AM, crossing the scenic Tichka Pass (2,260m) with panoramic views of the High Atlas Mountains and Berber villages. Visit the UNESCO heritage site Ait Ben Haddou. Continue to Ouarzazate. Then, travel along the Road of One Thousand Kasbahs, passing through Skoura Oasis and the Valley of Roses. Enjoy the breathtaking Dades Valley before reaching our hotel. Overnight stay in Dades with dinner and breakfast included.
Day 02: Dades – Todra Gorges – Tinjdad – Rissani – Merzouga Desert / 4 hour drive
We’ll meet you at your hotel in Dades at 9:00 AM and head toward Merzouga Merzouga. Visit Todra Gorges, a breathtaking canyon with towering cliffs that shift colors with the sun. Passing through kasbahs, mud-brick villages, and lush oases, a photographer paradise! Then, reaching the golden dunes of Merzouga. Here, you'll embark on a camel trek led by Berber guides, enjoy the magic sunset and immerse yourself in the silence and vastness of the Sahara. Upon arrival at a Luxury Desert Camp, enjoy mint tea and fresh dates before settling into your luxury tent. After a delicious Berber dinner, unwind by the campfire beneath a sky filled with endless stars. This magical night in the Sahara will feel like a scene from the Arabian Nights. Day 03: Merzouga – Draa Valley – Marrakech / 9 hour drive
Wake up to a stunning desert sunrise before enjoying breakfast and a refreshing shower. Then, travel through nomadic villages and the towns of Anif, Tazarine, and N’kob. Passing through Draa Valley, home to endless date palms, with a stop to admire its breathtaking oasis. Continuing through the Atlas Mountains before arriving in Marrakech by evening.
Option to extend the journey for a more relaxed experience!
On the final day of this 3-day tour, you’ll have a long drive of up to 9 hours, arriving in Marrakech late evening. To make the journey more comfortable, we highly recommend splitting Day 3 by spending the night in Ouarzazate and continuing to Marrakech on Day 4. This more relaxed option is highly recommended by our past clients, as it allows for extra time to enjoy the Sahara in the morning, explore hidden gems along the way, and arrive in Marrakech around 1:00 PM, allowing you to fully explore Marrakech City.
