We have just arrived back from the most spectacular experience! Tariq was our driver for the three-day return journey from Marrakech to Merzouga, and was an exceptional driver, guide and host. Navigating busy cities can be stressful, but we felt entirely safe and comfortable in his hands.
Tariq took us to the renowned landmarks, like Ait Benhaddou, alongside fascinating hidden gems, such as the ancient underground water channels near Fezna. Additionally, the accommodation in Todra Gorge was top-notch and the desert camp was in a lovely setting, featuring wonderfully attentive staff. We had an amazing experience with Morocco Desert Camps and our guide Tariq. Tariq was kind, fun, informative, and an experienced driver! Our itinerary was well paced - filled with beautiful scenery, kasbahs, medinas, and talented artisans. The camel ride and desert camp was incredible! All of our accommodations were lovely and we were always greeted by friendly staff. This was an incredible experience, which I would highly recommend. Booking with Morocco Desert Camps was easy, they answered all my questions and put together a beautiful proposal with details on what I should expect along with pictures and links. Very professionally done. We booked a 3 day tour from Marrakesh to a Luxury Desert Camp and our private driver and tour guide Tarek was awesome. He went above and beyond, taking us on stops that he knew we would enjoy, and always being attentive to our needs along the long journey. Driving through the Atlas mountains is something everyone should do once in their life, it was incredible. I have nothing but fantastic things to say about our experience with this company and our guide Jabbour. My son and I did a four-day desert experience, and not one part of it was anything but incredible. We were extremely comfortable with Jabbour, loved everything we saw, and were impressed by Jabbour's knowledge of everything. He pointed out things to us along the tour that we would have missed otherwise (mountain bees!), catered to our desires (can we go to a fossil factory?), and made sure we experienced local specialties (Berber pizza). We never felt rushed, and that was huge for us, as we are both avid photographers as well as want to be able to stay long enough to feel like we experienced a place as much as possible while on the move. Also, Jabbour knows everyone in Morocco. He will humbly tell you otherwise, but he does. We came away from the tour feeling like we'd seen some of the best parts of the country, and within those four days felt as though we'd met and enjoyed some of the most authentic people there - no doubt because of Jabbour's longstanding relationships with them. We were sad to end the tour, as it was the best four days of the 14 we spent in Morocco. My mother and I spent a total of four days traveling with our guide Jabbour through a variety of cities in the desert region of Morocco, including Ait Benhaddou, Todra, Hassilabied, Rissani, and many other unique places showcasing diverse aspects of Morocco's rich culture and history. During our travels we met many kind and friendly people, visited many culturally and historically significant sights, and experienced several regions on our path through Morroco. Through it all, our guide Jabbour was there to provide commentary, helpful translation and navigation, sightseeing suggestions, even photography services, as well as much more. Over the four days we spent with him we came to appreciate him as much more than just a guide, but as someone well-connected to the people around us. He educated us on the gifts, struggles, and successes of the Moroccan peoples in the different regions we visited. He taught us how to pronounce certain words, and explained behavioral nuances we were curious about. He laughed with us, brought us to amazing food spots, and connected us to the culture and the people. While the tour itself was incredible, my mother and I agreed it would not have been the same without Jabbour. The enjoyment we experienced from his jokes on the road, the information and history he provided us, the little places he brought us to we might have otherwise never discovered, far outweighed our enjoyment of the dunes or other popular tourist destinations.

Nous avons fait un voyage mémorable dans le désert! Notre chauffeur, Tarik, était plus qu’un chauffeur mais un guide, un professeur de langue (il nous a appris quelques bases en darija) et une compagnie amicale très agréable.
