TERMS AND CONDITIONS

By confirming a trip with Morocco Desert Camps (“we,” “us,” or “our”), you (“the client,” “you,” or “the lead passenger”) agree to the following Terms and Conditions.


1. TRAVEL INSURANCE

Travel insurance is mandatory for all clients and is not included in our tour prices. Each traveler is solely responsible for securing appropriate and comprehensive travel insurance prior to the start of the tour. This includes coverage for:

  • Personal injury, accidents, and medical emergencies
  • Emergency evacuation and repatriation
  • Trip cancellation or interruption (including missed flights and lost luggage)
  • Activities such as camel trekking, quad biking, horse riding, and water sports

We do not require a copy of your insurance policy, but you must have your provider’s name, policy number, and emergency contact details accessible during the tour. Morocco Desert Camps will not be held liable for any medical expenses or evacuation costs incurred during your trip.


2. VISAS, PASSPORTS & VACCINATIONS

You are solely responsible for ensuring that your travel documents, including a valid passport (minimum six months from your date of travel), visa (if applicable), and health requirements, are in order.

Please consult your government’s travel advisory or contact a Moroccan consulate or embassy for the most up-to-date entry requirements. We are not liable for any costs or losses incurred due to incomplete or incorrect travel documentation.


3. BEHAVIOR

Clients must comply with the instructions of staff and local authorities at all times. We reserve the right to remove any client from a tour without refund if their behavior is disruptive, disrespectful, illegal, or unsafe.

You must respect Moroccan laws, local customs, and cultural sensitivities. Public intoxication, drug use, and smoking in unauthorized areas are prohibited.


4. BOOKING TERMS

Tours can be booked via Phone, WhatsApp, Contact form, or Email at moroccodesertcamps@gmail.com.

To Book Your Tour, Please Provide:

  • Tour name (or let us know if you’d like a custom itinerary)
  • Starting date, and duration of the tour
  • Preferred starting location (e.g., Marrakech, Fes, Casablanca)
  • Arrival and departure airports
  • Number of travelers, including ages of any children
  • Full names, nationalities, and contact details (email and WhatsApp if possible)
  • Any special requirements (e.g., vegan meals, mobility assistance, allergies, or other important notes)

Once we receive your inquiry, we will provide a proposed itinerary and pre-confirmation. Booking is only confirmed upon receipt of a 30% non-refundable deposit (see Payment Terms).


5. PRICES

Prices are generally based on double occupancy and are subject to change until confirmed. Group discounts may apply for more than 10 participants. Accommodation is typically in 3- or 4-star category; alternative preferences must be specified at the time of booking. Child discounts (ages 1–4) may apply when sharing accommodation with parents.


6. DEPOSITS & PAYMENT TERMS

A 30% deposit is required to confirm a tour. It is non-refundable but may be credited toward another tour within 12 months (minus incurred costs). Payment methods: Bank transfer, PayPal, Tab or Wise. All associated transfer fees are the client’s responsibility. Failure to pay the balance on time will result in cancellation without refund.

The balance must be paid:

  • In cash (Dirhams, USD, EUR, or GBP) on arrival to your driver/guide
  • Or in advance (15 Day prior to the tour date) by Bank transfer, PayPal, Tab or Wise.

7. CLIENT-REQUESTED CHANGES

Amendments must be submitted in writing by the lead client. Changes within 30 days of travel may incur fees, especially involving hotel bookings with strict cancellation policies. We will do our best to accommodate changes, but availability cannot be guaranteed.


8. UNUSED SERVICES

No refunds will be issued for unused services or early departures. Any deviation from the planned itinerary is at your own cost and risk.


9. OPERATOR CHANGES

Prices and services are subject to change before confirmation due to currency fluctuations or other factors. If the price increases by more than 10%, you may cancel with no refund.


10. FORCE MAJEURE

We are not liable for delays, changes, or cancellations caused by force majeure (e.g., natural disasters, political unrest, pandemics). Deposits and costs incurred are non-refundable in such cases. We may offer an alternative date or itinerary, but additional expenses are the client’s responsibility.


11. CANCELLATIONS BY CLIENT

Cancellations must be made in writing by the lead client. Cancellation fees apply as follows:

  • More than 56 days: deposit only
  • 30–56 days: 50% of total cost
  • Less than 30 days: 100% of total cost

Deposits are non-refundable.


12. LIABILITY LIMITATION

Adventure travel involves inherent risks. Morocco Desert Camps and its agents are not liable for injury, loss, damage, delay, or inconvenience. We act as an agent for accommodation providers, guides, and transport services and are not responsible for their performance.


13. CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES

You must comply with all laws of Morocco. We are not responsible for your conduct or consequences resulting from breaking the law. You must behave respectfully toward guides, drivers, and other guests.


14. FITNESS & MEDICAL CONDITIONS

Clients must be in good physical and mental health. Inform us in writing of any medical condition or disability at the time of booking. If a condition arises after booking, we must be notified immediately. We reserve the right to cancel your booking if we cannot accommodate your needs.


15. FLIGHTS

Air travel must be booked independently. We are not liable for delays, cancellations, or changes related to your flights.


16. PERSONAL PROPERTY & LUGGAGE

You are solely responsible for your personal belongings, travel documents, and luggage. We are not liable for loss, theft, or damage.


17. ACCOMMODATION

We offer a range of accommodations to suit all types of travelers, including standard, luxury, and budget options, based on locally rated standards. While we aim to provide the most recommended accommodations, we reserve the right to substitute hotels or lodges with properties of similar quality when necessary. If you have specific accommodation preferences, please inform us at the time of booking. Requests for upgraded or alternative accommodations may result in a price adjustment.


18. SPECIAL REQUESTS

Dietary restrictions, room preferences, and other special needs must be specified at the time of booking. We will do our best to accommodate requests, but no guarantees can be made.


20. DRIVERS & GUIDES

Drivers cannot legally act as city guides in cities like Marrakech and Fes. Licensed city guides will be arranged. The same driver is not guaranteed after multi-day gaps. Drivers may be changed due to operational needs. Wearing seat belts is mandatory.


21. TRAVELERS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS

Guests requiring assistance must travel with a capable companion. Most transportation is not equipped for wheelchairs. We will attempt to assist where possible but cannot guarantee accommodation for all special needs.


22. MEDICAL EMERGENCIES

In the event of a medical emergency, we will assist with transportation to the nearest clinic or hospital. You are responsible for any associated costs. Travel insurance is mandatory for such events.


23. ITINERARY DISCLAIMER

Itineraries are subject to change due to weather, road closures, or other conditions. Any listed highlights or travel times are approximate and not guaranteed.


24. WEBSITE ACCURACY

Information on our website is correct to the best of our knowledge at the time of publication. Some details may change due to circumstances beyond our control.


25. DATA PROTECTION

Your personal data will only be shared with suppliers directly involved in your travel arrangements. By booking, you consent to this data being shared as needed.


26. COMPLAINTS

If you have a complaint during the tour, notify your driver, guide, or hotel immediately so we can resolve it. Formal complaints must be submitted in writing within 14 days of the tour’s end to: moroccodesertcamps@gmail.com

Jurisdiction for any legal dispute lies exclusively with the commercial court of Marrakech, Morocco. Moroccan law shall apply.
