5 Days from Marrakech – Desert adventure. Tour that allows you to discover the kasbahs and oases of southern Morocco, spend a night in the camp at Merzouga, and go to the dunes of Chegaga to spend a second night in the camp.
Itinerary:
Day 1: Marrakech – Dades gorges
We will meet you at your accommodation in Marrakech and go to the Ouarzazate city across the High Atlas mountain. You will take several photo during this trip from Marrakech to the desert as you visit the famous kasbahs and oases of South eastern Morocco; you will spend the night in a fancy hotel in the Dades gorges.
Day 2: Dades gorges – Merzouga
After breakfast, you will be discovering the gorges and the dades valley, standing at Boumalne to take beautiful photos, then we continue to the Jewish village in Tinghir, later we will drive to the Todra gorges. After lunch, we will cross the Tafilalt oasis and stop at Erfoud to see the fossils. We will then continue to the Merzouga desert, where your camel guide takes you through the Erg Chebbi dunes to your camp, there you will have dinner and spend your night.
Day 3: Merzouga
You will enjoy a beautiful discovery day: explore the dunes and the Sahara, visit a nomadic family and listen to the Gnawa music in a local sahara village. Lunch will be served in the Merzouga village, then you will return to your camp riding camels.
Day 4: Merzouga – Chegaga dunes
You will leave the Mezouga desert towards the Draa valley on a desert road. After you have your lunch in Zagora, you will travel towards M’hamid, passing by the Tamgrout village which is famous for pottery, then you we will resume our travel towards the Mhamid village. After having a short break, we will drive towards the Chegaga dunes where you will spend the night in a beautiful camp. You will admire the sunset in the dunes. Dinner and overnight in the camp.
Day 5: Chegaga dunes – Marrakech
After having enjoyed the magic sunrise in the dunes, we will enjoy a delicious breakfast before we continue towards Marrakech, through the Berber villages of Foum Zguid and Taznakht. Then we hit the road to Ouarzazate, we crossing the mountains of the High Atlas. We will then drop you off at the end of the day at your accommodation in Marrakech.
