9 days from Casablanca to the desert: A Tour from Casablanca to the desert. You will visit the cities of Rabat, Meknes, Fes. You will spend two nights in the dunes of Erg chebbi in Merzouga, and Visit the Berber villages as well as the Chagaga dunes.
► Itinerary:
Day 1: Casablanca – Rabat – Meknes – Fes
Your trip will start from your hotel in Casablanca to the city of Rabat where you will visit the Kasbah Oudayas and the Hassan Tower, then continue to Meknes, where we will visit the Mausoleum of Molay Ismail and continue to Fes. Your dinner and night stay wlll be in a Riad.
Day 2: Fes
You will have your breakfast and then meet your local guide who will accompany you to explore the medina of Fez. Dinner and overnight stay in a riad.
Day 3: Fes – Ziz Valley – Merzouga
We will leave Fes towards the Merzouga desert after breakfast. We will then travel across the mountain of the Middle Atlas, and have lunch in Midelt. After we will travel along the Ziz valley. We’ll stop at Erfoud for a coffee break, and then continue to Merzouga, where your camel guide will accompany you to join the camp in the dunes of Erg chebbi. You will spend a magical night in the dunes. Dinner and overnight stay at the camp.
Day 4: Merzouga
After your breakfast, we leave for the village by camel, exploring the dunes and the desert landscapes by 4×4 comfortable cars. Lunch will be served in Merzouga. Around noon , we return to the camp at Erg chebbi by camels. You will admire the sunset and stay amazed at the rhythm of Berber music, and enjoy a delicious dinner meal around the campfire.
Day 5: Merzouga – Erg lihoudi
After sunrise, you have breakfast and leave for Merzouga on camels, then we leave for Zagora. We will visit the Mausoleum of Molay Ali Chrif Alaoui, then we continue to explore the desert path towards Nkob, where you have lunch. In the afternoon, we go to the Zagora palm grove, then we go to Tamgroute, which is famous for its pottery. From there we continue to Erg Lihoudi, where we will spend the night and have dinner in a camp.
Day 6: Erg lihoudi – Mhamid – Chegaga
After your breakfast we will drive to the village of Mhamid, we explore this beautiful desert village, then we continue to the dunes of Chegaga where you will spend the night in a Saharan camp with dinner.
Day 7: Chegaga – Foum zguid – Taznakht – Marrakech
After your breakfast we leave for the villages of Foum Zguid and Taznakht, famous for the manufacture of Berber carpets, then we leave for the village of Ait Ben Haddou to visit the famous kasbah, we then cross the mountains of the High Atlas, we will arrive at the end of the day in Marrakech. Dinner and night in a riad.
Day 8: Marrakech
You will have your breakfast and you will meet your local guide who will accompany you to explore the medina of Marrakech. Dinner and overnight in your riad.
Day 9: Marrakech Casablanca
After breakfast we leave for Casablanca, we drop you off at your hotel or at Casablanca airport. This way 9 days from Casablanca to the desert tour will end.
